Paul Moroney thought this was the equal of any prospective Derby colt at the 2017 Sydney Easter sale and his pedigree complements that assertion.

From the second Australian crop of Kentucky Derby and Dubai World Cup winner Animal Kingdom, he's from one of the numerous high class female lines nurtured by HH The Aga Khan over several decades in France. Paul saw a lot of the colt's dominant dam sire Dansili in his physical traits - colour, markings and shape - with his shorter back from that Northern Dancer line propelled by ample hindquarters, hip to hock length, a long, sloping shoulder and stayer's walk to match.

His next three dams are all stakes performers with his 2nd dam a G1 winner at 3 in France which scored over the 2400m Classic distance and has produced two stakes winning half sisters, one as a G2 stayer, to this colt's dam plus another stakes placed sibling. Further back in the family are high class middle distance French colts Valixir and Vadamos plus Irish St Leger winner Voleuse de Coeur.
