A Bonnie runner

A quiet Saturday awaits Ballymore with just two runners - Bonnie Mac (pictured) at Eagle Farm and Lordoftheparrots at Sandown.

Having won her last five - her most recent at Listed level in Adelaide - in impressive fashion, Bonnie Mac will again have plenty of fans when she contests the Gr.3 Dane Ripper Stakes.

Nicely drawn in barrier eight for Dwayne Dunn, the exciting four-year-old steps up to 1400m, a trip at which she has already won over in New Zealand.

"There are a couple of question marks over her," Michael Moroney conceded. "She is going right-handed for the first time and she has done a fair bit of travelling - from New Zealand to Melbourne to Adelaide to Brisbane."

"But," he continued, "she has seemed to have settled in well. She is up in class again but she is a winner!"

Also in good form is Lordoftheparrots who looked to have a bit in hand when saluting over 2100m at Sandown last start.

He again contests that trip in the Le Pine Funerals Plate - up in class but down in weight.

"After Tom Sadler's claim he comes in with only 51kg (he carried 57kg last start) which should give him his chance."

Sunday is also a quiet day for the stable with just the one runner - Kenamon Belle tackling the 1600m maiden at the Sunshine Coast with Eddie Wilkinson to ride.

"We are a bit surprised that she hasn't won her maiden yet," Moroney said.

"She worked well with Bonnie Mac on Tuesday and her rider couldn't believe she was still a maiden - he thought she was stakes class. So on her work she should prove hard to beat."

Yamavite, having his first run since the spring, is our only Monday runner - lining up in the 1450m Maiden Plate at Kyneton with Jason Lyon to ride.

"It will probably prove too short for him," Moroney said of the promising staying type.

"But I do think he will have a good campaign - he is a stronger horse than he was last time in."
