RUN HARRY RUN IN THE PINK

A busy Saturday at home for us with five runners and winning chances in feature races.

Run Harry Run resumes in the Group 3 C S Hayes Stakes over 1400 metres with Opie Bosson riding.

“We will have to make a decision watching how the early races go on if we go forward," Mike said. “The outside barrier is not ideal and I don’t want him pressing forward and getting caught wide and having a tougher run than I’d like with us building to the Australian Guineas.

“His work has been good and his jump outs good so he’s going into it in good form.

“The wide draw is a concern however, we will keep an eye on the early races and then make a plan but he’s certainly ready to run well.”

Exciting filly Pink Chandon runs in Group 3 Vanity over 1400 metres with Jamie Kah to ride and drawn barrier two.

“She’s in the deep end but I think she’s good enough,” Mike suggested.

“I can’t fault the filly, she’s in terrific order and while I think she might want a bit further later on I’ve kept her on the fresh side.

“She’s a talented filly and with an ounce of luck in the run I will not be surprised at all to see her win.”

Not An Option runs in race nine over 1400m at the top-weight with Michael Dee riding.

“He’s at his pet distance and on his favourite track with a lovely draw so he’s got a few things in his favour,” Mike said.

“He’s got the weight but he’s earned it with the favourite down on the minimum but our horse is particularly well and I expect him to be hard to beat.”

Big Watch is the first to go for us in the second race over 1100 metres on the straight course under Jamie Mott.

“I’m really happy with him, I think it’s best he has been,” Mike said.

“He’s fitter, he has a good record on the straight track and I will be disappointed if he does not run well.”

Japanese Emperor is in the fourth race over 1600m with Declan Bates in the saddle.

“He has no luck with the barriers but it is what it is and he’s in good order and going well,” Mike said.

“He had no luck last start but I was not disappointed with the effort under the circumstances.

“I can’t fault him, he’s nice and fit and his best is certainly good enough to be winning.”
