A TRIO ON THE HILLSIDE TODAY

Three runners on the Hillside course at Sandown for us today starting with Coeur Volante on debut in the first race.

The daughter of Proisir has shown Mike Moroney nice ability at home and he is looking forward to getting her to the races.

“She’s drawn nicely and I think the give in the track will suit her.” Mike said,

“It’s a strong race but we know our filly has a heap of natural ability and I will be expecting her to in the finish.

“There are a few like her in the race and I know we are throwing her in at the deep end but I do believe she is up to it.”

Tasman Park runs in race four over 1300 metres at his first start after a long break and Mike id happy with.

“He’s come back in good order and I’m really happy with him,” Mike said. “He’s older and more mature, I’d say the one thing is how he will be after a long time off so he might well need a bit more this time around.

“He’s drawn the car park but it is what it is. The distance will suit and all things being equal I’m sure he will run well.”

Elkington Road is the fifth race over 1600 metres, and like Coeur Volante and Tasman Park, to be ridden by Jamie Mott.

“He’s been up a while but he’s holding his condition well,” Mike said.

“He’s had no luck in his race this preparation but he’s racing well and with ordinary luck I’m sure he will be thereabouts again today.”
