TWO CHANCES AT BALLARAT

Only two runners for us today with Hello Sunshine and Opoho Dreaming heading to Ballarat.

Hello Sunshine is in race three, the Fillies & Mares Maiden Plate over 1200m with Billy Egan doing the steering and to jump from barrier four.

Hello Sunshine ran well on debut at Kyneton over 1200m and Mike Moroney is expecting the four-year-old daughter of Jimmy Choux to be competitive again.

“We’re really happy her, her last bit of fast work was excellent,” Moroney said.

“She might be looking for a bit further now but from where she is drawn she can ideally sit just behind the speed and then finish off.

“On paper it looks a slightly harder race today but with ordinary luck I’m sure she can run well and be in the finish.”

Opoho Dreaming is in race eight, the Fillies and Mares benchmark 64 Handicap over 1600m with Jordan Childs riding from barrier eight after scratchings.

Opoho Dreaming won her last start over 1479m at Kyneton by two lengths and Moroney is confident of another good showing.

"She's got good gate speed and it's a long run before the first turn so I'm anticipating she can find a spot," Moroney said.

"I'm happy with her - I think she will be suited by the trip and the going should not be an issue.

"It's a harder race but I think she can prove up to it and run well again."
