ANOTHER BUSY DAY AND NIGHT FOR THE FLEMINGTON TEAM

Another busy day for the team with a runner during the afternoon at Kyneton before saddling four runners tonight at Pakenham.

Seminoles is our runner at Kyneton where he is in race four, the Maiden Plate over 1850m and to be ridden by Andrew Mallyon from barrier four in a field of 14.

The son of of Reliable Man has pleased in his two starts this preparation and Mike Moroney is looking forward to getting the son of Reliable Man out in trip.

“He’s fitter now after two runs this preparation and I do think he will be suited by the step up in distance,” Moroney said.

“He’s trained on nicely since his last start at Pakenham where he ran well to finish fourth and I’m looking forward to testing him over a bit further on Thursday.”

Pueblo is the first of night runners to go in race two, the Maiden Plate over 1400m with Jordan Childs to ride from barrier seven after scratchings.

The import has not raced since finishing fourth over 1400m at Bendigo last July.

“It’s good to get him back to the races and I’ve been pleased with his jump outs and his work leading up to this run,” Moroney said.

“It looks an even sort of maiden and it looks an ideal race to get him started and I’m expecting him to run a nice race and then improve on whatever he does.”

Flying Mr Davis is in race three, the Maiden Plate over 1600m with Rhys McLeod to ride from barrier eight after scratchings.

It will be the second start this preparation for Flying Mr Davis, which resumed over 1400m at Pakenham on March 21.

“He has trained on well since his first up run and he will appreciate the step up in distance,” Moroney said.

“He has come on a lot for that and is in great order.

“Being by Savabeel I’d expect he will be better as the distances get further but that said, I’m expecting him to run well tonight.”

The imports Metor Light (pictured) and Whosyourhousemate start new campaigns in race eight, the benchmark 70 handicap over 1400m with Jordan Childs aboard Whosyourhousemate from barrier three and Nikita Beriman on Meteor Light from barrier five.

Moroney said both have prepped up well ahead of the race.

“Whosyourhousemate is in great order, Moroney said. “His jump outs have been very good and his work this week has been first rate so I’m expecting him to run well in what appears a very open field.”

“Meteor Light is also ready to run well. He’s had a couple of jump outs and while the distance of tonight’s race might be a bit short of his best I’d expect him to be running on at the finish.”
