A big weekend

Lots of runners this weekend and hopefully a few winners !
We kick off with four runners at Moonee Valley on Friday evening. And we are straight into it with the no.1 runner in the first race - the exciting Sophrosyne having his first run since August.
Twice a winner from his first four starts, the son of Testa Rossa is highly regarded by the stable and despite the topweight of 59kg, he should prove hard to toss from barrier two.
Blue Sky Girl is our second Moonee Valley runner, the consistent  mare due to line up in the Essendon Hyundai Handicap - race three on the programme.
Hard fit fourth up - having been close up at two runs since a first up victory at Mornington, she is nicely primed for the step up to 1600m.
An interesting runner in the seventh race, the Airport Toyota Handicap, is Nothingbutthetruth making his Australian debut. He has performed well for us in New Zealand and being a son of Galileo he should relish the 2500m.
We wrap up a busy night with tough gelding Spontaneous lining up in the final event, the Autocentro Handicap. He ran a cheeky Seymour third at his first run since June and strips all the fitter.
To Caulfield on Saturday where the handsome Syndrome lines up in the opening event, the Robert Taranto Handicap. He had no luck at all at Flemington last start - always wide. He has only five rivals this time and at his first attempt at 2000m should prove hard to toss.
A particularly exciting runner at Caulfield is Divine Rebel, a classy staying mare having her first outing since finishing second to Ista Kareem in the Sydney Cup in April.
Whilst her best form is definitely over longer trips, the daughter of Don Eduardo can pull out a handy run fresh and we will be looking for a good finish from here in the Listed LT Cleary Stakes.
In the final event we are nicely represented by two runners - and they are numbers one and two - Abitofado and Linton Street. Both are fresh over too short a trip - 1400m - but both are consistent gallopers who always try their best.
Best of luck to the connections of all of our weekend runners.
