Ballymore mid-week Runners

Now that we are heading into summer and warmer weather, there are more race meetings included weekly during this period. Ballymore has five runners heading to their respective meetings on Monday and Tuesday both sides of the Tasman.

Our first runner for the week is at Wangaratta on Monday. In the third race on the card our Sir Percy gelding, Percivall Pott will look to break his maiden status in the maiden event over 1590m with Patrick Moloney on board.

He has proven to be a consistent type with five career starts for two placings, and from the ace barrier draw of one, he looks to be a chance in this field.

At Sale on Tuesday, the Redoubte’s Choice gelding, Paterangi lines up in the Class 1 Handicap over 1523 metres with Patrick Maloney taking the reins.

Out of Gr.2 winning and Gr. 1 placed Zabeel mare Pravda, Paterangi on paper will be more effective over more ground later in his preparation. Look for him to be doing his best work through the line as he steps up from the 1400m at his last start.
