Creeping Towards the 100

Not long to the end of the racing year now and as Ballymore's season total sits at 97 we are hopeful for a winner or two this week to edge us closer to a milestone.

We have runners in Sydney and Melbourne on Wednesday, the first of whom is Bonnie Belle (pictured) who tackles a similar race to that which she won on the Lakeside track late last month.

"She has trained on very nicely," Michael Moroney enthused, "and with the claim she looks to be very well in. She looks to be a good chance again."

Jake Bayliss takes the ride on the daughter of Keeper who should get a good run from barrier four.

Two races later we have Strike Force back to 1600m having failed to run out the 2000m at Caulfield a few weeks ago.

"He has freshened up well," said Moroney, "and he has good form in this sort of

ground."

"It looks to be quite a strong mid-week three-year-old contest and he has a tough draw (12) but we have been pleased with him."

Lord Barrington is the last of our three Sandown runners and whilst he too has drawn out, he is racing in great heart with another bold showing expected.

"He has been up a while but his work this week was as good as it has ever been and we can't fault him."

Meanwhile at Canterbury we have Lord Disick topweight in a 1550m race with Koby Jennings to take the ride.

Having his first run since late February, the Pentire gelding is at his best over longer trips but Moroney is hoping he will finish off well.

"It is not the strongest race," he said, noting that Lord Disick rarely runs a bad race.
