Ballymore at the Magic Millions and Caulfield

It has been a busy week for Ballymore Stables with Michael and Paul inspecting a big group of yearlings at the Magic Millions - both delighted with the quality of young horses they have been able to purchase.

Yearlings by the likes of Choisir (a lovely filly pictured), Smart Missile, Delago Deluxe, Commands, All Too Hard and Fastnet Rock have really caught the eye and we look forward to welcoming them to the stables during the course of the year.

Meanwhile we have a strong winning chance at Caulfield on Saturday, our only runner for the day being the tough and consistent Garud who takes his placed in the third event, an 1800m heat of the Swettenham Stud Championship.

Game after making the pace in the Listed Lord Stakes at his most recent outing, the High Chaparral eight-year-old rarely runs a bad race and whilst he has top weight on Saturday he will appreciate a drop in class.

Drawn nicely in barrier five with Steven Arnold aboard, Garud has performed well at Caulfield and he is nicely placed to further improve on his consistent record at the track.
