Depending on how she fares, it may be the final run for Court Pastoral at Gosford on Wednesday, the imported mare being given a chance up in distance and down in class in the Stayer's Cup Qualifier.

"It is an easier race for her," Michael Moroney said, "but she has been disappointing of late."

"If she runs below her best again she will be retired but if she shows something she can have another run before she heads to stud."

At Sale on Thursday we have another staying type in action, Kiwi Dreamer having his first run since February.

Resuming in the 1400m Maiden Plate, the son of Pentire has been progressing nicely this preparation.

"He can run well fresh but you would expect him to be getting better as he gets up over more ground," Moroney reported.

Later in the day we have Marwood (pictured) nicely placed in the Showcase BM70 Handicap over 1200m.

Coming in well at the weights with the claim of Anthony Boyd, the four-year-old is suited down in class and has drawn nicely in barrier four.

"It looks the right race for him," Moroney said, adding that "any rain about would make him all the more competitive."
