Prix du Sang vs Beatboy at Eagle Farm

The Queensland winter carnival draws to a close at Eagle Farm this Saturday and we have two runners in one of the day's feature events, the $200,000 Gr.2 Tattersall's Cup.

Both horses - Prix du Sang (barrier 3) and Beatboy (4) have drawn nicely and will, according to the stable's Anthony Feroce be suited "by the 2200m on the bigger track."

Each running nice races at Doomben last time out, Prix du Sang was finishing on well over the final stages of a 2020m contest.

"Her last 200m was very good," Feroce noted, adding that fourth up the well related daughter of Red Ransom strips hard fit - at the same stage of her Brisbane campaign last year finishing a close up fourth in the Queensland Derby.

Beatboy is also in good form leading up to his crack at Gr.2 level, having got back from a tricky gate last start - flashing home late to only just miss out on the prize.

"He has trained on really well," said Feroce.
