TWO RUNNERS FIRST-UP AT SALE ON FRIDAY

Falling Waters and We’ll Meet Again are the stable runners on Friday when they travel to Sale.

Falling Waters is commencing a new campaign in the first race of the day, the 3YO Fillies Maiden over 1100m where she has drawn barrier three and will be ridden by Michael Walker.

Falling Waters showed good ability in her three races last season, finishing runner-up to Formality over 1100m and then sixth to Jukebox in the valuable Inglis 2YO Classic at Caulfield at her last start in February.

Mike Moroney is pleased with the way the daughter of Turffontein has trained coming into the race.

“Certainly pleased with the way she has worked going into this and her jumpouts have been encouraging,” Moroney said.

“If she reproduces her two-year-old form then I think she will be hard to beat.

“If we did happen to get the forecast rain and the track gets too heavy we will likely scratch her and wait for another day.”

We’ll Meet Again is also racing first-up this campaign when he starts in race three, the Maiden Plate over 1400m.

The son of Pour Moi was placed three times last preparation and Moroney feels that the trip of today’s race is likely to be too short.

“This is a nice starting point for him but I’m thinking the distance is going to be too short for him,” Moroney said.

“That said his work has been good and on a big roomy track like Sale then I’m expecting him to be finishing strongly.”
