NINE RUNNERS ACROSS AUSTRALIA THIS WEEKEND

We kick off today (Friday) at Geelong on a Good 4 track where Beyond Purple takes his place in the Cottage by the Sea BM58 Handicap (1100m). This race is now being run on the grass rather than the synthetic and the trip has gone up to 1100m which isn’t ideal. She strikes an average field, has a nice draw, has trained on well and is a good each way chance.

Over at Cranbourne where it’s a Good 4 track, Cherokee lines up in the My Punter.com Maiden Plate (2060m).
His first two runs have taught us plenty about him and today we anticipate him using his gate speed and staying powers to go forward to put himself in the race. His lead-up work cannot be faulted and it will be up to him to bring his ability to the track. He will want all the 2000m and will take plenty of improvement from the run.

We then see Bugle Call start in the Browns Sawdust & Shavings Sky Heights Stayers (2580m) event.
He strikes a quality field in this final race of the series, though he is well weighted, has trained on well and should be hard to beat.

Last runner of the night at Cranbourne is Sognani in the Cranbourne Hyundai F&M BM70 Handicap (1300m).
She strikes an even field here. Very happy with how she has trialled; she has freshened-up nicely and looks particularly well.
Will appreciate some give in the ground so hopefully we get the little bit of rain predicted. This is a nice starting point for her and she is an each way chance.

On Saturday at over at Eagle Farm on what is currently a Heavy 8 track, Mister Impatience takes his place in the Gp.3 Channel Seven Premier’s Cup (2200m) which is his first run since Sydney Cup outing. The 2200m is short of his best trip; nonetheless, it is a nice lead-up to the Brisbane Cup.
Strikes a competitive field, though he is in great order, appreciates the conditions, is nicely drawn and well weighted. This is one old professional that can never be dismissed.

Top of the Range (pictured) then starts in the Mullins Lawyers Grand Prix Stakes (2200m). This is a galloper we hold a high opinion of. The question mark will be whether he is mentally ready; but certainly cannot doubt his ability.
Strikes a very strong field here and today which should give us a good line on him.

Alaskan Rose takes her place in the Gp.3 Glenlogan Park Stakes (1300m). She has freshened up nicely and this is her last run before going through the ring at the Magic Millions Sale.
Has a wide draw to contend with though this might not be too much of a worry as she does travel well as the back-marker.
She certainly does have the ability to compete with this field and it would be fantastic to register a win before she heads through the sale ring.

Over at Sandown on a Good 4 track, Araldo Junior lines up in the Chandler Macleod Handicap (2400m) event. At this stage he is starting, though may not be if conditions are too firm for his liking. He is back in class here and with all favours should be a good shot.

Last but not least for the weekend, Strike Force runs in the Le Pine Funerals Plate (1400m). This is his first-up run for a while and he does have good form fresh-up. Rain would help but he is going well and we expect him to be a solid chance.
