Te Rapa Double for Ballymore

With the stable recording win number 80 for the season, across both sides of the Tasman courtesy of Wonder Woman on Wednesday, the team will be looking to cap off a good week with Keep On Coming (pictured) and Bugle Call at Te Rapa tomorrow.

Having produced a stylish win fresh up at Tauranga last month, Keep On Coming produced a gallant second-up effort when running fourth in a sticky Rotorua track in the weeks following.

‘She’s a nice filly that has always shown above average ability. A nice run in transit tomorrow should see her be prominent in what looks like a competitive race,” co-trainer Pam Gerard said.

“We are hopeful that she’ll be suited to the track and on her work of late has been very pleasing.”

Keep On Coming remains at the 1400m trip, although looks to be a very nice miler in the making. The daughter of Shamoline Warrior will be ridden by Cameron Lammas.

The second runner on the card will be the promising son of Tavistock in Bugle Call. Remaining at the mile, after having time between runs, Bugle Call has drawn well in barrier two and will be ridden by inform apprentice rider Shaun McKay.

“We were tossing up between the 2100m race and the 1600m, but we were set on the mile with the track likely to have some sting out of it.”

“He’s a genuine staying horse and while we think he can run a good race tomorrow, he will be right in his element when he gets up to 2000m and over.”
