Race a well related filly that is ready to run!

Ballymore Stables is offering a new, fun and exciting opportunity to be involved in a racehorse which is not far away from hitting the race track.

Two-year-old filly, Thoughtful (Thorn Park x Times Remembered), made her first public appearance and the Waipa trials yesterday, and while she finished in the second half of the field, the report from rider Craig Grylls and co-trainer Chad Ormsby were highly encouraging.

“The track wasn’t to her liking and she just couldn’t get any traction in the ground, but once she balanced up in the straight, she gave me a fantastic feel and has a lovely action.” Rider Craig Grylls reported.

“She’ll take plenty from the outing and I think you will see an exciting horse wherever Mike and Chad decide to take her next.”

The tight turning corners were also enough to put the well-bred filly off balance in the running, as well as running right handed for the first time.

“She’s a very progressive filly who has shown a great deal of ability at home, and she will take plenty from this,” co-trainer Chad Ormsby said.

“Today’s trial was a good opportunity to have a day out and give her a positive experience, and she took everything in her stride. She’s a lovely filly who we have plenty of time for.”

Adding further confidence to her rider and trainers’ reports, Thoughtful is extremely well related being a three-quarter-sibling to Australian Stakes winner Kontiki Park and a very close relation to unbeaten three-year-old Snapshot.

A grand-daughter of champion mare Snap, and by champion sire Thorn Park, Thoughtful was made for a three-year-old Spring campaign and is going to be one very exciting galloper.
